By "news" I mean anything. For example, you can get a mail when a stock reaches a specified price, or when there is something new about your favorite band, etc.
What's special here is that you can "program" it to do anything. For example, monitor a friend's blog and get noticed when he writes your name. You can even combine several sources like Google search, blogs, and any RSS feed.
