U3 and PortableApps may be the next big thing.
Did you hear about flash drives that hold your applications? You plug the USB and use it without accessing the local hard-drive. You can use Firefox, Thunderbird, etc. And everything stays on the flash.

Yeah. It's pretty cool! I read about it in PCMagazine 0.5 year ago.
